Play and Create by Art Room 109: classes are designed for parents and walking toddlers aged 1 to 5. These 60-minute sessions are flexible to fit your little one's routine - arrive and leave at a time that suits you. The final 10 minutes feature bubbles, music, and parachute play. Each session is thoughtfully crafted to engage both parents and toddlers in a fun and dynamic way. With up to six different open-ended art stations, this is a completely child-led class focused on play-based learning and the development of fine motor, social, and creative skills. Parents must accompany and supervise their child throughout, as classes are fully child-led with no formal teaching - my role is to guide and facilitate creativity. All sensory materials are freshly homemade, natural, and taste-safe. Washable, non-toxic paints are used, and we recommend dressing children in pre-loved clothes. These laid-back sessions encourage connection with other parents and the community while inspiring simple creative play you can try at home. Based in Kinvara, Co. Galway, Art Room 109 travels up to one hour from H91 N5P2 to bring creative workshops to schools, community centres, and private venues. Current class locations: Maree, Oranmore (Tuesdays and one Sunday a month); Kinvara (Fridays); and glór, Ennis (Thursdays, once a month from 2025). Circus classes offer something for everyone to enjoy and are suitable for all ages, levels and abilities. We offer multiple classes for ages 1-17 years (and adults 18+ too). Our main location is in Shantalla on Galway's Westside, but we also offer classes in Renmore on Galway's Eastside, as well as in Tuam. View full details →Join the world's No. 1 preschool football programme, with over 100,000 children participating every week. Our play-orientated classes are fun, engaging, and nurture a love of sport from an early age. We are proud to be more than just football - while football is the tool we use, our goal is to develop the fundamentals of movement (balance, agility & coordination), fundamental movement skills (running, hopping, skipping, jumping), social skills such as listening, sharing and taking turns, and early learning concepts like numbers, colours and body parts. We have 4 different age groups to ensure children participate with their peers at around the same developmental level. Our Little Kickers programme is suitable for children aged 18 months to 2.5 years - it's a parent-toddler programme requiring active parental participation, which ensures your child gets the very best out of the sessions; learning to listen and follow instructions through engaging, fun games is the goal at this level. Our Junior Kickers classes are for 2.5 to 3.5 year olds, who are starting to get more independent at this stage - children participate more by themselves, though many will still like to have their parents close to them at the magic wall, with Play, Practice, Understand as the learning outcome. The next stage is Mighty Kickers, suitable for 3.5 to 5 year olds, where most children participate independently with parents encouraged to support from the sidelines, further developing Play, Practice, Understand. The Mega Kickers programme brings together all the learning outcomes from the previous levels, relying less on the play-orientated structure of earlier stages, with a 20-minute match at the end of each session preparing children to move onto football academies and continue their football journey. Throughout all stages, our core philosophy of Play not Push is embodied - we believe children should be gently encouraged to participate and allowed to watch if they are unsure, in the hope that seeing other children in the class participating will spur them on to join in the fun.

View full details →Babywearing Ireland Sling Meets are peer-to-peer support meetings, facilitated by volunteers who are baby wearers. Peer-to-peer support allows those who attend to help each other and share their experiences - sling meets are informal gatherings, so it's not possible for BWI volunteers to give any professional advice. Our sling meets also offer a sling library service, so if you like a particular sling, you can rent it for a small fee, take it home and try it for a month. Our sling categories are stretchy wrap, woven wrap, ring sling, mei tai, and soft structured carriers (SSC). In addition to our in-person meets, we have a national library from which slings can be rented and delivered via courier. Meet-ups are usually monthly - keep an eye on social media to find out the date of the next one.

Our philosophy is 'circus for all', and we use the circus arts to teach young people, including those who are disadvantaged, at-risk and vulnerable, the tools to develop self-confidence, resilience and social skills while tapping into strengths and hidden talents. We offer Toddler Circus classes for ages 1-4 years with an adult on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays in Shantalla, and on Fridays in Renmore - adults are welcome to participate but not required, though they must stay in the class. We offer Family Circus classes in Shantalla on Saturdays for ages 4+ with siblings who can be younger or older; adults are expected to participate in this class, a fun activity for the whole family. We also offer tea, coffee and social time before and after our Toddler and Family Circus classes. Our Youth Circus programme features weekly classes for different age groups: 5-7 years, 8-11 years, and 12-17 years - in these classes, parents/caregivers are not allowed to stay. At our Shantalla location, we offer youth circus classes for ages 1-17 years; at Renmore, ages 1-12 years; and at Tuam, ages 5-12 years. All classes run alongside the school year from September to June, on different days depending on the class, and we also offer week-long summer camps by age group. Participants should wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle, and wear grippy socks if they have them. Classes vary in price based on age group and length, and for 9 months of classes, fees are paid via a monthly subscription; some classes offer trials.
