About Galway Art Academy

Galway Art Academy is a children's art school in Galway city run by teaching artist Dee Deegan, who holds an MA in Creative Practice, a Higher Diploma in Art and Design Teacher Education and a first-class honours degree in Fine Art. It offers weekly after-school art classes for ages 7 to 12, where children explore a wide range of art techniques and materials in a small, encouraging group. Creative Camps for 7 to 12 year olds run in Galway city during the Halloween, Easter and summer holidays, and Teen Camps cater for ages 13 and up.
