Art Clubs with Playful Tribe
Playful Tribe's Afterschool Art Clubs are relaxed, process-led sessions focused on creativity, self-expression, and enjoying the process of making art. We explore a range of materials, including air-dry clay, watercolours, oil pastels, acrylics, drawing, and mixed media, while learning to use professional tools and techniques. All materials are included. Mondays 4-5:30pm (Junior & Senior Infants) and Tuesdays 4-5:30pm (1st Class - 6th Class). Classes are drop-off and take place in our home studio in Bettystown, and are best suited to children who are comfortable participating independently without one-to-one support/SNA. Our art classes run on a continuous basis throughout the year, and you can join at any time once a vacancy opens in the class of your choice.

A small craft workshop, birthday and pottery space located in the heart of Portlaoise, at the rear of JBR Art Haus, the Midlands' largest craft supply store. We offer a huge range of craft workshops throughout the year, as well as an afterschool craft club, kids' craft camps, pottery events, and a drop-in pottery-painting venue. We work with various community ventures and county councils to facilitate a wide variety of pottery, craft, crochet and upcycling workshops across the Midlands. LAOLA Movement was founded in 2023 by Taty, a German-born, Ireland-based certified Pilates instructor with a love for movement, connection, and the outdoors. Her mission is to help people feel stronger, more flexible, and ultimately happier in their own skin through joyful, accessible Pilates classes and unforgettable experiences in nature. LAOLA's name is inspired by the German word for 'Mexican wave' (La Ola), a symbol of community, rhythm, and spine mobility, the core of Pilates, reflecting the brand's philosophy of moving together, celebrating our bodies, and riding life's waves on the mat and beyond. What began as a handful of outdoor classes has grown into a movement within the local community. Today, LAOLA offers a mix of outdoor group classes in summer, online sessions in winter, and one-of-a-kind Pilates events that bring like-minded people together, from sea swims to paddleboarding and even Pilates with alpacas. Taty is YMCA accredited through Reformation Studio (Dublin), with additional qualifications in Ante & Postnatal Pilates (APPI, London 2024) and an ongoing focus on women's health and the transitions women go through across life stages.
