Play and Create by Art Room 109: classes are designed for parents and walking toddlers aged 1 to 5. These 60-minute sessions are flexible to fit your little one's routine - arrive and leave at a time that suits you. The final 10 minutes feature bubbles, music, and parachute play. Each session is thoughtfully crafted to engage both parents and toddlers in a fun and dynamic way. With up to six different open-ended art stations, this is a completely child-led class focused on play-based learning and the development of fine motor, social, and creative skills. Parents must accompany and supervise their child throughout, as classes are fully child-led with no formal teaching - my role is to guide and facilitate creativity. All sensory materials are freshly homemade, natural, and taste-safe. Washable, non-toxic paints are used, and we recommend dressing children in pre-loved clothes. These laid-back sessions encourage connection with other parents and the community while inspiring simple creative play you can try at home. Based in Kinvara, Co. Galway, Art Room 109 travels up to one hour from H91 N5P2 to bring creative workshops to schools, community centres, and private venues. Peer-to-peer support allows those who attend to help each other and share their experiences - sling meets are informal gatherings, so it's not possible for BWI volunteers to give any professional advice. Our sling meets also offer a sling library service, so if you like a particular sling, you can rent it for a small fee, take it home and try it for a month. Our sling categories are stretchy wrap, woven wrap, ring sling, mei tai, and soft structured carriers (SSC). View full details →Kangoo Jumps Classes: fun for kids & parents! Kangoo Jumps is a high-energy, low-impact workout perfect for kids, parents, adults and caregivers. Using special rebound boots, this class improves balance, coordination, and cardiovascular fitness while reducing joint impact - a fantastic way to stay active, have fun, and bond as a family. Bonding Families (kids 6+ & parents): Mondays at 6pm, Renmore Community Centre. Adults Beginners: Tuesdays at 9:30am, Renmore Community Centre; Fridays at 7:30pm, Oranmore Maldron Hotel. Kids 6+ can join with a parent, guardian, or grandparent, and parents/caregivers are welcome to participate; adults can also join beginner classes independently. Caregivers are not required to stay but are welcome to - they can either participate in the session or drop their child at class and go. Kids should bring comfortable workout clothes and long socks (to wear with the boots), and a water bottle for hydration - Kangoo Jumps boots are provided, just bring your energy and enthusiasm.
