Fingal Additional Needs

Fingal Additional Needs is a fun and inclusive experience for children with additional needs. Spaces are limited, so book your spot today. Location: The Band Room, Skerries. My name is David, and I started Fingal Additional Needs after leaving my previous job. Many parents asked me to continue supporting their loved ones with 1-1 outings, and as a parent of a child with ASD and ADHD, I know how valuable a break can be. For over 10 years, I've worked with children and adults with additional needs. After a successful year offering 1-1 support and two years running Football4All with Skerries Town, I introduced summer camps that were a huge success, leading to extra classes, and I've recently set up an afterschool class. My goal is to give parents and carers a well-deserved break while providing a fun and engaging environment for children. I'm not a therapist, but I focus on creating meaningful and enjoyable experiences for the kids - whether it's getting active, socialising, or just being happy in their own space, these sessions are designed with your child's needs in mind, whether they have ADHD, autism, Down syndrome, or other additional needs. You can check out some of the work I've done on Instagram and Facebook @fingaladditionalneeds.

Babywearing ireland

Babywearing Ireland Sling Meets are peer-to-peer support meetings, facilitated by volunteers who are baby wearers. Peer-to-peer support allows those who attend to help each other and share their experiences - sling meets are informal gatherings, so it's not possible for BWI volunteers to give any professional advice. Our sling meets also offer a sling library service, so if you like a particular sling, you can rent it for a small fee, take it home and try it for a month. Our sling categories are stretchy wrap, woven wrap, ring sling, mei tai, and soft structured carriers (SSC). In addition to our in-person meets, we have a national library from which slings can be rented and delivered via courier. Meet-ups are usually monthly - keep an eye on social media to find out the date of the next one.
