About Wexford Artists Community Theatre (WACT)
Wexford Artists Community Theatre (WACT) is a not-for-profit youth theatre based at St Michael's Theatre in New Ross and affiliated with the National Association of Youth Drama. Workshops run every Thursday during the school term: junior actors aged 5 to 12 meet from 3 to 4pm, and the senior 'Wactors' aged 13 to 18 meet from 4 to 6pm. Young people develop acting and performance skills, confidence and teamwork. St Michael's Theatre also hosts the County Wexford Youth Film Project for ages 13 to 20, which has involved over 400 young people since 2005.
