About Secret Valley Wildlife Park
Secret Valley Wildlife Park spreads across 14 acres of countryside near Clonroche in Co. Wexford, and its focus sets it apart from most family zoos: nearly every animal here, from capybaras Guava and Mango to meerkats, porcupines, lemurs, tamarins, otters, ferrets and reptiles, was rescued from a compromised background such as an unsuitable former pet home or a laboratory. Visitors can hand-feed alpacas, llamas and pygmy goats, and the park runs tiered keeper experiences for ages five and up, giving children a chance to get properly close to an animal under supervision rather than just viewing it through glass. Daily keeper talks and behind-the-scenes tours add structure to a visit, and when the weather turns there's an indoor bouncy castle and obstacle course alongside outdoor play areas to keep things going. The Hungry Tortoise café serves hot food, speciality coffee and treats until late afternoon, and the site is wheelchair and buggy friendly with accessible parking, though some ground is uneven in places. It's a relaxed, walk-up attraction with no pre-booking required for general entry, roughly ninety minutes from Dublin.
