About Lahinch Surf School
Lahinch Surf School was founded by former Irish surf champion John McCarthy and is one of the longest-running surf schools in Ireland, based on the promenade in Lahinch, Co. Clare. Lessons are grouped by age and experience, with Grom groups for 6 to 8 year olds, Kids groups for 9 to 12, and Teens, Adults and Family lessons. Wetsuits and boards are provided. In summer the school runs five-day surf camps for kids and teens, a great way for children to build water confidence and progress from first-timer to standing up. It's open Tuesday to Sunday for lessons and rentals.
