Ardmore Open Farm & Mini Zoo logo

Ardmore Open Farm & Mini Zoo

Nature & Animals

Ardmore Open Farm & Mini Zoo sits just outside the seaside village of Ardmore in County Waterford, close to Whiting Bay beach, and combines a farm walk with a proper mini zoo across 15 acres. Over 200 animals live on site, including many rare breeds, and the day is built around dedicated petting times in the small animal room where kids get to hold and stroke the friendlier residents, plus a walk-through duck pond and an indoor bird aviary. There's a genuinely large amount of undercover play for wet Irish days: soft play areas split by age, an indoor sand pit, covered karting and mechanical diggers, alongside an outdoor playground, zip wire and soccer pitch outside. A café seating up to 60 serves hot food and snacks, with separate party seating for children's celebrations. The farm has been run by the same family since 2012 and leans into seasonal events, from a Halloween trail to a Winter Wonderland at Christmas. It's fully wheelchair friendly with baby changing facilities and free coach and car parking, and school tours get special rates on request.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday · Open 7 days a week until September, 11am-5:30pm. Reduced days/hours off-season - contact the farm directly to confirm winter opening. · EUR 15.5
