WAMA Waterford - Art Classes

About WAMA Waterford - Art Classes

The art programme at WAMA in Waterford is taught by Waterford artist Anne McDonnell, who has facilitated school art workshops for the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland. Primary-aged children are grouped by age (5 to 6, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12), and the programme covers painting and colour, drawing, construction, fabric and fibre, print and clay. There are also classes for teenagers and portfolio-building classes for Junior and Leaving Certificate students. Classes take place in a dedicated art studio at the Arts Complex on the Dunmore Road, which also hosts the academy's music, dance and drama tuition and holiday camps.
