Fireflies Leixlip Parent and Kids Group
Fireflies Leixlip Parent and Kids Group is a social club for children with autism and complex needs, aged 3-7 years. It's a free play group with different sensory stations for the children to explore as they wish. The hall is large and secure, offering a safe space for children and parents to meet each week. Location: Leixlip Youth & Community Centre. Time: 10.30-11.30am. Children have the opportunity to regulate, engage in messy play and express themselves in a safe and supportive environment with smaller group sizes. Classes are child-led, relaxed, and full of fun and things to explore. Caregivers such as parents, grandparents and childminders can attend and are required to stay for the duration of the class. Bring a spare change of clothes and a small towel/baby wipes. Leixlip Baby & Toddler Time is a social event for little ones and their grown-ups. Come along for a story or two and a big room of toys for your little ones to play with, with tea and coffee for the grown-ups. Leixlip Parent, Baby and Toddler Group welcomes parents, grandparents and minders to come along with babies/toddlers from birth to 4 years old, for a change of scenery and a chance for the little ones to play while the grown-ups chat. New members always welcome. Location: Our Lady's Parish Centre, Old Hill, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. Day/Time: every Thursday at 10am (during school term time). Cost: free.

The group is well equipped with age-appropriate, educational and sensory toys (mostly new), which are rotated between sessions after being fully cleaned. Bathrooms with baby changing areas are located outside the hall. Location: Leixlip Youth and Community Centre, Newtown House, Captain's Hill, Newtown, Leixlip, Co. Kildare, W23 T8W5.
