Streamvale Open Farm
About Streamvale Open Farm
Northern Ireland's only open dairy farm, run by the same family for more than 35 years on the edge of Dundonald, just outside east Belfast. Streamvale's day revolves around real animal contact: rabbits, chicks, pigs, chickens, goats, alpacas, guinea pigs, a Highland cow and red deer, plus a Cuddle Corner for newborn rabbits and scheduled feeding times through the day. In summer there's a daily Bubble Bop Disco, sheepdog demonstrations with a working dog named Silver, and a comedy sheep-and-goat race called the Baa National. Free tractor and quad-towed barrel rides take visitors past the red deer, and a milking parlour viewing gallery lets kids watch the dairy side of the farm in action, followed by a taste of the farm's own milk or milkshakes. Play options span several age groups, from a Junior Play Barn for under-5s to a Big Bounce Barn, a Digger Zone, and an assault-course-style Trailblazer Playground, with a new Deer View Park of swings, zip lines and climbing frames added in 2026. The farm also hosts seasonal events including a Halloween pumpkin patch and an adults-only Screamvale scare night.
