About Santa's Grotto at Dublin Zoo

Santa moves into his grotto at Dublin Zoo for the Christmas season. Every visit includes a festive gift for each child, and there are three ways to book: a daytime bundle with a day at the zoo, an evening bundle with Wild Lights (this year's theme is Passport to Wonder, nine zones of lanterns from celebrations around the world), or a quieter sensory-friendly session.

The grotto is open from Saturday 21 November to Wednesday 23 December 2026. Sensory-friendly sessions run every Saturday and Sunday morning from 21 November, with no music, softer lighting and smaller groups. Each ticket has a set time slot for the grotto: daytime visitors can arrive at the zoo from 9.30am, and Wild Lights visitors from 5pm.
