SwimCamp offers intensive swimming camps for children throughout the year at Castle Park School Swimming Pool in Dalkey, Dublin, for kids aged 5 and up who have some previous swimming experience. Sessions usually last 45 minutes each day. Camps are divided into three skill levels (Groups 1, 2 and 3) to suit different abilities, from beginners to more advanced swimmers, with special clinics also available for teens aged 13+. Children can be accompanied by any caregiver - parents, grandparents, or childminders - though it's best to contact SwimCamp directly to confirm whether caregivers need to stay for the duration of the class, and for guidance on what to bring; typically for swim classes, children should bring a well-fitting swimsuit, a towel, goggles (if preferred), and a swim cap (if required by the pool). Each camp consists of three 45-minute sessions on consecutive days, focusing on improving existing swimming skills, building confidence in the water, and teaching water safety. Experienced, certified coaches lead small groups to ensure personalised attention, in a fun and engaging learning environment that helps children develop essential swimming strokes, strength, and endurance. Camps are priced at €65 for the three-day session, with multiple dates and time slots available throughout July and August.
