About Wexford Library Junior Chess Club
Wexford Library's Junior Chess Club meets at Wexford Library during the school term for children aged 8 to 13. Sessions are split into a beginners and improvers group and an intermediate and advanced group, so children can learn and play at the right level. The club meets on Saturdays (11:30am to 12:30pm) and Wednesdays, and places are booked through Wexford County Council Libraries' online events calendar. Chess helps children build concentration, logical thinking and patience, and the club is a friendly way to meet other young players.
