Kilkenny Stars Basketball Club

About Kilkenny Stars Basketball Club

Kilkenny Stars Basketball Club runs an academy for young players in Kilkenny city, meeting on Friday evenings at The Watershed from September through to April. There are three groups: Junior Ballers for U6 and U7 players, Senior Ballers for U8 and U9, and a Junior Academy for U10s, with sessions the club describes as loud, fun and run by friendly coaches. Academy places are for club members, and every child must also be registered with Basketball Ireland, the governing body, for insurance. Fees for the 2026/27 season are listed on the academy page, with flexible payment options. Older players move on to the club's youth teams.
