Maudlintown Parent, Baby and Toddler Group

Parent-and-toddler

Maudlintown Parent, Baby and Toddler Group, Wexford, is hosted by Southend Family Resource Centre. The aim of the group is to provide a space for parents to come together in an informal and supportive environment, away from their own four walls, while allowing the little ones to play safely together and do some socialising of their own. The group is available for anyone in the area looking after little ones - mums, dads, grandparents, aunties. There is a weekly activity for the toddlers, e.g. painting, puppet making, baking, and weather permitting we play outdoors. We also provide healthy snacks for the children, and tea and coffee for the adults. As parents, we all support each other informally over a cuppa, as well as find out information on courses, training, parenting issues etc. available at the centre and elsewhere. Location: Southend Family Resource Centre, Hantoon Road in Maudlintown, Wexford, at the junction with Gulbar Road (just off Maudlintown Green/Playground and opposite the Senator Windows). Day/Time: every Thursday, 9.30-11.30am (during school term time). Cost: €2 per family (voluntary contribution). Contact: Siobhan, 087 7633002.

Toddle On

Parent-and-toddler

Welcome to Toddle On, where parents and children can bond in a warm and friendly environment. Toddle On play café is a warm, welcoming space where babies and young children can play, explore and learn while parents and carers relax and connect. The play space is suitable for 0-10 year olds. We offer themed sensory and messy play classes for children aged 2 months to 6 years, designed to support early development through music, movement, storytelling and hands-on play. Classes are tailored by age group and include popular activities such as foam messy play, creative trays and imaginative role-play, all in a safe, nurturing environment, thoughtfully crafted to provide your child with an enriching early learning experience while fostering new friendships in the community. Our play café consists of four rooms. The Sensory Play Room is a calm, engaging space designed especially for babies and toddlers, featuring soft play, lights, textures and sensory toys that encourage early development, curiosity and gentle exploration in a relaxed environment. The Imaginative Play Room is perfect for little imaginations, allowing children to role-play and create their own adventures - from pretend play to dressing up and themed setups, it supports social skills, confidence and creative thinking, and is also a comfortable, welcoming area for parents and carers to relax while keeping an eye on their little ones over a coffee and a chat. The Creative & Messy Play Classroom is a hands-on space where children are encouraged to explore, create and get messy, supporting fine motor skills and learning through play, without the mess at home. The Games Room offers older children a dedicated space to enjoy a mix of active games and imaginative play, from basketball, mini snooker and football to creative play with Barbie, Paw Patrol, superheroes, puppets and dress-up, keeping older siblings happily engaged. Our classes: Toddle On Teenies nurtures your bond with your baby through baby sensory activities, baby beats, Lámh and baby massage, creating lasting memories while supporting your baby's development. Toddle On Tinies helps you bond with your growing baby through baby sensory, Lámh, messy play and music, using instruments to engage with your little one and bond over a weekly theme. Toddle On Tots lets your tot unleash their artistic imagination - each week your child delves into a new theme while learning a new sound and exploring messy play, role play, stories, numeracy, Lámh, music, and crafts. Based in DB Fitness and Injuries, Unit 5 Pinewood Business Park (beside Lidl in Clonard). Various times depending on the child's age - please see the booking page for times. When you book a play session, you can drop in anytime that day within opening hours. All caregivers are welcome and required to stay for the duration. All resources are provided, with refreshments available to purchase, and sibling discounts and memberships available. For baby classes, it's advised to have an easily accessible outfit for baby massage; for older classes, messy play is involved, so it's best not to wear a new outfit. Got a birthday coming up? Have full use of the play space and a bubble disco for €100, and have your party with us - snack bags are available to purchase to use as party bags.

Music

Ready Steady Play and Music classes provide a range of developmentally appropriate activities through play, music and movement for children from newborn to primary school age. Our child development experts and teachers create a unique experience weekly, encouraging early learning and development. In class we pride ourselves on forging a sense of community where parents and caregivers build personal connections and lifelong friendships.
