About Young Chef at Airfield Estate

Young Chef workshops at Airfield Estate in Dundrum give children aged 8 to 12 a hands-on cooking experience in the estate's Inspiration Kitchen, which looks out over its own food garden. Where possible, ingredients used in class are grown on site.

Sunday sessions (10am-12.30pm) are led by experienced educators and cover both sweet and savoury dishes, giving young chefs a rounded set of practical cooking skills rather than a single recipe focus.

Beyond the cooking itself, the workshops build a deeper connection to fresh, seasonal ingredients and where food actually comes from - a useful complement to any child's general food education, set against the backdrop of a working city farm estate.
