About WSKF Karate Academy Skerries

WSKF Karate Academy Skerries is a volunteer-run club teaching traditional Shotokan and sports karate to children aged 5 and up, alongside general strength and fitness. All coaches hold coaching and child protection qualifications and are Garda vetted, and beginners can try a free class any time — either watching first or joining straight in.

Classes are split by level and day: Saturdays bring Beginners at 2.30pm and Juniors at 3.30pm, with further Juniors sessions Mondays at 6.45pm and Wednesdays at 6.30pm. All that's needed is loose-fitting trousers and bare feet; parents can stay and watch or drop off.

The current beginners' offer covers 12 weeks with a free karate suit for €99. Classes are at Skerries Community Centre, County Dublin; more at wskfskerries.ie.
