About Stonehall Visitor Farm & Wildlife Park
Stonehall Visitor Farm & Wildlife Park sits at Curraghchase in Kilcornan, Co. Limerick, running alongside Curraghchase Forest Park and about six miles from Adare. It's a step up from a typical petting farm, with a genuinely wide mix of rare and domestic animals including llamas, alpacas, ostriches, emus, rheas, and a sizeable collection of parrots and birds of prey alongside more familiar farmyard residents. Families can wander the nature trails, picnic on site, or head into the indoor play area, which combines a bouncy castle with ride-on go-karts for a rainy-day backup. The farm also runs a full events calendar beyond a standard visit, including school tours, Girl Guides and Scout group visits, birthday party packages, and seasonal events at Halloween, Christmas (with a pre-bookable Santa's Grotto) and Easter. A tea room on site covers food and drink for a full day out. The farm opens seasonally from March, mostly on Saturdays and Sundays, with daily opening across July and August; weekdays outside summer are generally reserved for pre-booked school and group tours, so a casual midweek visit should be checked in advance.
