Santa at Avondale House 2026

About Santa at Avondale House

Beyond the Trees Avondale near Rathdrum runs Santa’s 18th Century Christmas Experience inside historic Avondale House, the Georgian home of Charles Stewart Parnell. Families start in the Great Hall with traditional festive games, meet Mrs Claus in the Dining Room for Christmas crafts, and add their wishes to the Thoughts Wall in the Drawing Room. The visit ends with a one-to-one meeting with Santa in Parnell’s Study, and every child takes home a traditional wooden toy. Grown-ups get a complimentary hot chocolate or mulled wine (over 18s) on the way out.

It runs from Saturday 28 November to Tuesday 22 December 2026, with hourly sessions from 12pm to 7pm on open days. Sessions have limited places, so booking ahead is recommended. The same estate hosts ILUMINA, an after-dark forest light trail, and an indoor ice rink this winter, booked separately.
