Woodkids Forest School

About Woodkids Forest School

Woodkids Forest School brings child-led outdoor play to the woods at Jenkinstown, Co. Kilkenny, for children from around 18 months up to five years, each accompanied by a parent or carer.

Groups meet on Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 11.30am for games, nature crafts, hammock time, balancing on ropes and storytelling, led by a qualified Forest School Leader. A term runs for four to six weeks and costs €60.

Children should come dressed for the outdoors in waterproofs, warm layers and long sleeves and trousers; non-walking younger siblings can tag along free of charge. The path is buggy and wheelchair accessible, with toilets at the park entrance, though dogs aren't permitted at sessions.
