About The Cauldron of Curiosities at Rothe House
The Cauldron of Curiosities is a free drop-in family afternoon at Rothe House and Garden, part of Kilkenny's Toil and Trouble festival. There are courtyard games, witchy science, a storybook craft, a garden treasure hunt, roving performers and face painting.
It runs from 14:00 to 17:00 on Saturday 31 October 2026, for children aged 4 to 12 with their families. There is no booking: it's first come, first served. The house is wheelchair accessible, and some activities are outdoors.
