About Tempo Music School

Tempo Music School, based at the Arts and Business Campus on Lower Drumcondra Road, runs parent-and-child music appreciation classes for young children. Baby Beats is aimed at 9 months to 3 years, while Mini Beats takes children from 4 to 6 years old through a wider range of instruments, songs and compositions.

Each class follows a consistent structure - a Welcome Song, Nursery Rhymes for listening and language, Sound Exploration with percussion instruments, Action Songs for movement, and a Goodbye Song to close - giving children a predictable rhythm to the session.

Beyond the fun, the classes build sensory-motor skills, coordination, rhythm and early speaking, while introducing strings, percussion and wind instruments as groundwork for future instrumental lessons.
