About Santa's Grotto at the Bridewell, Magherafelt
The Bridewell, Magherafelt's tourist information centre on Church Street, becomes Santa's grotto on Saturdays from late November. Children write a letter and post it in Santa's post box, do some festive crafts, and meet Santa and his elf, who give each of them a small gift.
It runs on Saturday 21 and 28 November and 5, 12 and 19 December 2026, in one-hour sessions. Neurodivergent-friendly sessions, with low lighting, little or no music and spaced seating, run from 10.30am to noon on 28 November and each December date. There are Changing Places toilets, and the grotto has step-free access from the Church Lane entrance.
