About Rathmines Forest School

Rathmines Forest School offers outdoor, nature-based sessions for children aged 5 to 12 at its base on Rathmines Road Upper. Weekly after-school sessions run in term time, giving kids a chance to unplug and spend time outdoors after the school day.

The school also runs holiday camps during school breaks, all set within a walled woodland garden that gives children space to explore, build and play away from screens. Forest school activities typically build confidence, resilience and a feel for the natural world through den-building, fire lighting, tool use and free play.
