Oceana Wildlife runs outdoor wildlife learning programmes for children in Ballina, split across two age groups so the content and pace suit each stage of development.

Joey Rangers is aimed at the youngest nature-lovers, ages 2 to 5, offering a gentle, hands-on introduction to the outdoors and animals. Junior Wildlife Rangers takes over from age 4 up to 12, going into more depth on wildlife, habitats and the natural world as children get older.

Between the two programmes, the overall age range covers toddlers through to pre-teens, giving families an outdoor-based alternative to indoor activity classes.
