About Mountrath - Toddler Group / Kids Book Clubs / STEM Group

Mountrath Library on Shannon Road offers free weekly and monthly sessions for children of all ages, from open play for toddlers to STEM activities for school-age kids.

The Baby and Toddler Group is an open play session every Wednesday from 10 to 11.30am, with toys laid out to encourage little ones to socialise under parental supervision. STEM Play runs Tuesdays at 3.30pm for ages five and up, exploring science, technology, engineering and maths - booking is essential as places are limited.

The library also hosts two monthly book clubs for older children, a Junior Graphic Novel Club (ages 9-12) and one built around the Ultimate Football Heroes series. Everything is free; contact 057 8756378 or mountrathlibrary@laoiscoco.ie for current dates.
