About Meath Local Sports Partnership - East Meath Amenity Hub

Meath Local Sports Partnership runs open water swimming programmes at Bettystown through the East Meath Amenity Hub, with separate levels for kids, juniors and teens as well as adult groups. Sessions are led by qualified Swim Ireland coaches, giving parents confidence that technique and safety are properly supervised in open water conditions.

Open water swimming is a different skill set from pool swimming — coping with waves, sighting and pacing — so this is a good option for children who already have basic swimming ability and want to build confidence beyond the pool, right on the East Meath coast.
