About Mayo Sports - Kids Kayak Summer Camp
Mayo Sports runs a week-long kids kayaking summer camp for children aged 10 to 15 at Lough Lannagh, Castlebar, organised out of Aras an Chontae on The Mall. The camp costs €60 for the full week, and both complete beginners and children who already swim confidently are welcome to take part.
Kayaking builds core strength, balance and water confidence, and running the camp over a full week — rather than a single session — gives children enough time to progress from basic paddling technique to feeling comfortable on the water.
