Leeson Park School of Music

About Leeson Park School of Music

At Kensington Hall on Grove Park in Rathmines, Dublin 6, Leeson Park School of Music runs its Music Kindergarten programme for children aged 1 to 4, using the Colourstrings approach to introduce pitch, rhythm, melody, dynamics, tempo, character, form and style through familiar rhymes and children's songs. The playful format is designed to develop musical sense and inner-ear training from an early age.

For slightly older children, the Pre-Instrumental Programme (ages 4-7) offers a two-year, after-school introduction to music that children attend independently, helping them build their own relationship with music ahead of starting an instrument. Together, the two programmes give a clear musical pathway from toddlerhood through to school age.
