Leeson Park School of Music

About Leeson Park School of Music

Leeson Park School of Music offers Colourstrings instrumental classes as a natural next step for children who've completed the school's music kindergarten programme. The instrumental tutor books draw on songs, nursery rhymes and rhythms already familiar from the Singing and Rhythm Rascals materials, so children recognise the musical content even as they take on the added technical demands of learning an instrument.

By building on material children already know, the approach aims to make the transition into instrumental playing feel less daunting, easing them into technique through music that's already familiar rather than starting entirely from scratch.
