About Language Explorers Workshops

Language Explorers is a programme from Mother Tongues, designed for children aged 3 to 6 and the adults who bring them along. Sessions are facilitated by specially trained multilingual artists and create a welcoming space for families from any linguistic or cultural background, using storytelling, play, visual arts, music and movement to explore language together.

Workshops are delivered in English, but families are actively encouraged to bring whatever other languages they speak at home, whatever the child's level — fluent, just starting out, non-speaking, or communicating in a different way are all equally welcome. It's a good option for multilingual families, or any family curious about other languages and cultures, looking for a shared activity rather than a formal language class.
