About Donegal's Lapland at Doagh Famine Village
Donegal's Lapland is the long-running Christmas show at Doagh Famine Village on the Inishowen peninsula, near Ballyliffin. It opens with a live show in which the elves tell the story of Christmas and Santa comes down the chimney. Families then head into Santa's Village, where each child chooses a present in the Toy Factory and can have a photo with Santa.
Allow 45 minutes to an hour, and bring your own camera. Shows run hourly in the evening, on Fridays to Sundays from 27 November and then every evening from 17 to 22 December 2026. The show uses flashing lights, smoke effects and live animals, so call ahead if that could be a problem.
