About Carlow Parent & Toddler Messy Play Group - Visual Carlow
Carlow Parent & Toddler Messy Play Group runs at VISUAL on the Old Dublin Road in Carlow, aimed at children aged 1 to 4 alongside their adult. Sessions are held on Thursdays from 10am, led by artist Marian Balfe.
Each week combines a look around VISUAL's galleries and current exhibitions with a sensory or messy play activity, so children get exposed to art in a hands-on, age-appropriate way rather than a formal gallery visit. Messy-friendly clothing is recommended.
Booking is required in advance, either online, in person or by phone through the box office, and the group may not run every week of the year - it's worth checking VISUAL's website or social media for current dates. Cost is €5 per child, with one accompanying adult admitted free.
