About Cailleach by Macnas, Kilkenny
Cailleach is a free outdoor procession by Macnas through Kilkenny on Halloween night, the centrepiece of the city's Toil and Trouble festival. Petronilla leads a procession of fire, large puppets and drums from John Street to Canal Square.
It starts at 18:30 on Saturday 31 October 2026. Expect fire, drums and crowds on cobbled streets, so keep small children close.
