Portlaoise Library - Baby & Toddler Group / Kids Book Clubs

Portlaoise Library has a great selection of groups for families. Listed below are some of the regular events - during school holidays the library runs many pop-up classes/workshops, which are definitely worth checking out. Sign up to their newsletter to stay up to date. Location: Portlaoise Library, 23 Lower Main Street, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, R32 N7EP. Cost: free. Baby and Toddler Group: the baby book club uses songs, stories, books, and rhymes to build a foundation for literacy in your baby and toddler through sound awareness, for ages 0-3. All are welcome. Time: fortnightly, Thursdays, 10.30-11.30am (confirm with the library, as dates may change around school holidays). Junior Book Clubs: Radioactive Readers is a new interactive book club discussing a different book each time, followed by a craft, recommended for ages 7-9, booking advised. Time: Tuesdays at 4pm. Tweens Book Club is a chance to discuss books and books you'd like to read, recommended for ages 10-12, booking advised. Time: Thursday 27th Feb at 4pm. Lego Free Play: children's Lego free-play sessions, all welcome, no need to book. Time: every Saturday, 11am-1pm (except bank holiday weekends).
