Kilmallock/Caherconlish/Hospital/Lough Gur/Ballylanders Parent and Toddler Group in Limerick is hosted by the Hospital Family Resource Centre. Many parents/carers of young children enjoy the opportunity to meet others with similarly aged children, and parent & toddler groups are a great way for this to happen in a safe, secure environment in their own locality. All groups encourage mothers, fathers, grandparents, childminders, and carers to attend. As well as having a cuppa and a chat, each session is packed with activities such as sing-song, arts and crafts, mini olympics, colouring, face-painting and story time - shared activities among the children and their parent/carer that often give the family unit a much-needed opportunity to interact in play and enjoyment. The groups always welcome new members, as once children start school their time with parent and toddler groups comes to an end, though families often continue attending with younger children.
